Hello, I can’t uninstall some apps. Are these apps essentially part of the branding of the Nextcloud software, or is it not possible to uninstall them? Will the integration of Nextcloud be compromised if these apps are uninstalled?
There are some apps that cannot be uninstalled but can be deactivated. This is a normal behaviour of Nextcloud.
If you delete the apps manually, problems may occur. Above all, the integrity check will fail.
You are welcome to name the apps that you would like to uninstall but cannot.
Nextcloud is not intended to uninstall these apps and, especially with regard to updates, it is perhaps better not to do so. apps/dashboard
, for example, is 375 KB in size. The other apps are not very large either. It would probably make more sense to do without apps/photos
with 50 MB or apps/text
with 41 MB.
These are shipped apps, and cannot be uninstalled. There may be some hacky ways to do it, but I wouldn’t recommend trying. As @devnull said, you wouldn’t gain much by uninstalling them, so it’s not worth the risk of possible side effects. Also, after a nextcloud update, they would probably be reinstalled again.
