Nextcloud 25.0.1 / OnlyOffice - Download instead of editing

Hi everyone,

after updating to NextCloud 25.0.1 recently, i only get the option to download files instead of editing them directly via OnlyOffice (when sharing a folder via link, direct links to documents work fine though). On a backup Nextcloud running 24.0.4 it works just fine, opening all files directly in the webbrowser with OnlyOffice.

At first glance, it looks like the linkhandler seems to work differently, as file links now show /download… instead of ‘openfile’.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah happened to me too, and not the first time. Seems to need a lot of black magic and in the end you’re not sure what fixed it. It is clear that there is not appropriate testing between the only office plugin and next cloud. While only office plugin is unofficial I believe, it is still a critical feature for many people and somehow there needs to be a solution.
