Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 16.04): Linux (that’s what my provider says)
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache 2.0
PHP version (eg, 5.6):5.6
Is this the first time you’ve seen this error?: yes
The issue you are facing:
I can upload only txt files. if i try to upload, for example, an mp3 file, i must change extension to txt to upload it.

Are you using File Access Control with a rule set that only allows txt access/ uploads? If File Access Control is used and you have a rule set containing “Tags” from the Workflow app, make sure that Tag isn’t applied to your folder where you try to upload MP3 to.
What do the logs say?

i’m not using File Access Control App.
in the Admin->log section i see only “info” records, like admin log in & log out. there are other logfiles i’m missing?
while uploading mp3, doc or xls files, the top blue bar reaches 100% then i see message “connection closed (or broken)”
Are you sure you are using Apache Version 2.0? It is no longer supported for many years now. If yes and it is not a typo, your issue might have to do with that…
Which other file types did you check?
i’ve uploaded a phpinfo file on my host, so pls, can you check the right version?
