Nexcloud desktop client freeze trying to sync folder on a SMB mount point

Hello,

I’m running Nextcloud for testing and I would sync a group folder on a smb share mounted on my debian desktop. The idea is to configure a replication of the group folder on a file server in order to protect the datas, but the client freeze when he try to sync (permissions on the mounted folder is 777, so no problem of this type), have you an idea to resolve this ?

Your group folder already is on a SMB file server.

I’m not sure to understand, you want to sync the mounted SMB-share to an independent (from your SMB server) Nextcloud server? Or do you just want to use the SMB-share within Nextcloud (as external storage).
