New User Username Will be Autogenerated

Nextcloud version: 19.0.3
Operating system and version: Ubuntu 20.04

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Open Users Menu
  2. Create new user

I’m facing an issue where the new user dialog does not present me with an option to manually define new user’s usernames. Instead the option has been replaced with a UI element that reads “Will be autogenerated”.

I’m sure that it used to let me manual define them as I have accounts with names I clearly defined myself.

Is there a setting that I may have toggled that’s causing this? Or, does anyone know if this is this part of an add-on app?

Some help with this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Update for anyone else who faces this issue: One workaround that I found is to edit the source on that UI element to delete disabled=“disabled”. By doing this, you should be able to enter text and add users with custom usernames again.
