New installation of nextcloud 15 - unable to login no errors

Hi,

I’ve just installed Nextcloud 15 on Centos 7.6 running php 7.3 and nginx 1.12.2. I previous tested on another server with the same software version and it’s working without any issues. Initially I got a 504 bad gateway when configuring nextcloud, that is to say, when typing in all the database details, credentials and so on.
After that I added this into nginx config file “fastcgi_read_timeout 600s;”, because I gathered that it might take longer than the default configuration (towards 40-50 seconds, because of somewhat low ram). It seemed to have finished, but now whenever I try to log in, the page is reset and there’s absolutely no error, neither in nginx, nor in /var/www/html/nextcloud/data/nextcloud.log. I’ve no idea where to begin.
It’s irrelevant if I type in the correct credentials. I get the same behaviour.
Here is my nginx configuration file:

Any ideas what’s going on or what I’m doing wrong?

What I find REALLY weird is that I was able to connect with my nextcloud client on mac os using the credentials I’ve initially typed in and it’s syncing…

Changing the owner from apache to nginx on all directories inside /var/lib/php did the trick. I don’t understand why apache would be the default there, I don’t see where you can set another user than apache for that, but never mind. It seems to have worked.
