New install, file integrity check failed

Hi guys,

I’ve just installed NC 20.0.1-3.epel8.playground on a Springdale Open Enterprise Linux(RHEL-derivative like CentOS).

But I get a message stating that “Some files have not passed the integrity check.”… etc.

Which is odd, since I just installed from the packages and did not add or remove anything (except choosing not to install calendar etc. in the web-installer)

The missing files are:

  • core
    • FILE_MISSING
      • .htaccess
      • .user.ini
      • 3rdparty/.github/workflows/composer.yml
      • 3rdparty/.gitignore
      • 3rdparty/LICENSE INFO
      • 3rdparty/aws/aws-sdk-php/LICENSE.md

      • 3rdparty/league/uri-components/LICENSE
      • 3rdparty/league/uri/LICENSE
        etc. etc etc.

The documentation does not mention what to do about this situation.

What would be the right way to proceed?

The relevant packages installed on the server are:

nextcloud.noarch 20.0.1-3.epel8.playground @YAK2-epel8-playground
nextcloud-httpd.noarch 20.0.1-3.epel8.playground @YAK2-epel8-playground
nextcloud-postgresql.noarch 20.0.1-3.epel8.playground @YAK2-epel8-playground

This doesn’t make sense to me.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I don’t know the packages nor how the maintainer has packaged them. The best way is to download the required software package directly from the Nextcloud website and extract all included files. You can also try to contact the maintainer of the packages and ask him why he hasn’t included the mentioned files.

Yeah, I suppose that is a thing I should try.

Thanks,

Yup, that did the trick. Obviously the packages are missing some stuff. I’ll see if I can figure out who is the maintainer and let them know.

Thanks for all your help,
