NC-Client crashes at start after upgrade Nextcloud from 19 to 20 as suggested

Updated Nextcloud 19 to 20 on my server as suggested. Nextcloud 20 is running fine. But, now NC desktop client crashes after start up on my notebook. Strange thing.

$ nextcloud
Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Fred

Nextcloud version 3.1.0-20201214.180315.7f4ffd0f7-1.0~focal1
Using Qt 5.12.8, built against Qt 5.12.8
Using Qt platform plugin ‘xcb’
Using ‘OpenSSL 1.1.1f 31 Mar 2020’
Running on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, x86_64

Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.8
Kernel Version: 5.4.0-58-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz
Memory: 7,5 GiB

Same for me on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS focal / GNOME Shell 3.36.4:
~$ nextcloud
Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben)
[Memory access error (Memory dump written)]

purged all nextcloud packages and re-installed from ppa
3.1.0-20201214.180315.7f4ffd0f7-1.0~focal1
error occurs the same

When reverting to the ubuntu packages (after purging all installed nextcloud packages and doing ppa-purge) with nextcloud-desktop 2.6.2-1build1 it works again.

Thank you for your answer and the suggested solution.
Yesterday came an update (to 3.1.1) for the Nextcloud desktop client. So it works again with the series 3 version from the ppa.
