Moving only data directory to a new installation

Hi. I am running a NextCloudPi with an older version of NextCloud inside, and I decided to move to a SFF PC with a Docker installation. This NC instance is only used for syncing files, and the data directory is in an external hard drive. Is it enough to just mount the hard drive to the new machine, feed it to my new NC instance as its data directory, recreate my users, and then files:scan --all ?

Take a sheet of paper and think about, what has to be done in any case. It is not only the user data and their place of storage. It is more about setup user gadgets. The load of work is quite the same, the way is an other.
In such a situation I would see a fresh setup on all devices to be a chance.
Maybe you want your storage fs to be btrfs? Now is the chance.

I just used that command after adding and removing a file while I was in the data directory. It worked.

Always make a back up before doing something like this, though. Also, I do not know if this will cause a conflict with files that are already synced on to devices. I did not test that case.
