Moving Data So It Is Viewable In Windows and Installation Advice

I didn’t know where else to put this so I put it here. I am wanting to remove the actual data files from Nextcloud. I don’t want to lose the files. I am going to reinstall Nextcloud on a Win 11 machine but not sure which route I’m going to install it. The drive is full and I would like to save it to Windows first and when I install Nextcloud on it, I can copy files back over. I had Nextcloud setup to backup photos directly from our phones and those phones are gone but the pictures are on Nextcloud. Is there a way to do this so that the files can be put on a windows drive and be usable on Windows? I think I took ownership of the drive since I can access it. I’m a real noob to this but I want to use one machine for a Windows “server” and Nextcloud. After this is done I will work on getting Nextcloud setup. What is everyone’s opinion on setting up Nextcloud? Use a docker, WSL or like VM ware or virtual box? I really would appreciate the help but most importantly, I don’t want to lose the files. I appreciate the help in advance. Thank you.
