Move /data to external drive - changing ownership of data folder

Hi all,

I moved the /data folder to an external drive as per these instructions [Move data location to external drive · Issue #150 · nextcloud-snap/nextcloud-snap · GitHub] but now I’m having permission issues, exactly the same as the guy in that thread. He said that he “changed the ownership of the data directory to root” which solved the problem.

How do I do this??

I installed nextcloud with snap.
