Hi,
Is there a possibility of opening MBOX files on the NextCloud platform? They are in the archive but how to use them - to search/browse emails … thank you very much …

The only way to access mailbox files is to use the mail app. This requires to configure your mail account correctly. Currently no app exists to directly browse or read email files.

Hi. Thanks a lot. Yes but this is an email archive. It does not need to be used but only viewed, searched … as a reminder … MBOX is about 20 GB … no need to take up space on the email account …

I understand your use case, nevertheless an app doesn’t exist yet and I don’t know how many users would require it. If you need such a function you need to write your own app or rely on a separate software package, like e.g. the following:
