Markdown Link to Public Share of PDF Opens New Tab and Shows on Original Tab

I created a markdown document to publicly share. The document included the public share links I made for some PDF files. I embedded the links via the markdown editor with the “Add Link” feature.

When I view the markdown document and click on a link, the PDF opens in a new tab, as well as the original tab. This behavior seems not so convenient, because after reading the PDF the user needs to both close the new tab showing the PDF as well as back out of the same PDF on the original tab.

I’m using the latest Nextcloud 25.0.4.

Same here. I think this is a bug. Maybe some other can also test it. I also use Nextcloud 25.0.4
