MariaDB still recommended? (not PostgreSQL)

Hi devs,

Since the beginning of Nextcloud MariaDB is the recommended Database.
(Last check Nextcloud 16).

In the last years PostgreSQL made a lot of progress and there are links (https://optimizdba.com/mariadb-vs-postgresql-know-the-difference-between-the-databases/) which tend to prefer PostgreSQL.

There are other links which state “it depends” (https://db-engines.com/en/system/MariaDB%3BPostgreSQL) with a bunch of values I do not fully understand.

So is the reccomendation still valid for the latetest and upcomming Nextcloud Versions?

I bought new hardware, so i have the oppertunity to make changes in depth now.
