Many errors but everything works fine, how to approach this?

Nextcloud version (eg, 29.0.5): 29.0.8

Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 24.04): Ubuntu 20.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): 2.4.58
PHP version (eg, 8.3): 8.1

The issue you are facing:
Upgraded nextcloud from v27 to 28 and 29, which produces many errors, however everything works perfectly

At the first glance it looks you have many apps you don’t need e.g. ldap and saml integration, rightclick app and maybe (multiple) Talk apps. Otherwise I doubt *everything work perfectly" as you LDAP integration and many other apps seems non-functional

please post the list of apps and uninstall apps you don’t need.

Hey there, not sure if this will fix all the issues you’re facing, but I did run into an automatic update error which crashed nextcloud, and my error was very similar to yours:

An exception occurred while executing a query: SQLSTATE[22001]: String data, right truncated: 1406 Data too long for column 'argument_hash' at row 1

i checked my error logs and noticed the following:

[24-Oct-2024 17:14:02 UTC] PHP Warning:  Version warning: Imagick was compiled against ImageMagick version 1692 but version 1693 is loaded. Imagick will run but may behave surprisingly in Unknown on line 0

Since I didn’t want to figure out how to change the imagemagick version or mess too heavily with my php configuration, i changed my php version from 8.1(what you’re using) to 8.3, and it now works just fine.

Hope that’s helpful in some way. check your /nextcloud/error_log file for additional errors, you might see one similar to what i described.
