Manual update needed, although automatic updates are enabled

Hi,

I’m running the AIO Docker-container with Nextcloud 26.0.X, and for about 6 months the automatic update has been working nicely together with the daily backup.

Today I was met with an “Update needed”-splash screen, saying I need to use the CLI-updater because automatic updates are NOT enabled. I have two questsions from this:

  1. Why would this happen, when automatic updates are enabled? I have sinned in terms of keeping the server updated for some weeks now, so maybe this could be a reason? I would like to avoid this in the future, so I would like to understand this.
  2. Could you verify that this is the correct procedure I should follow? Upgrade manually — Nextcloud latest Administration Manual latest documentation
