I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Nextcloud Desktop Client version 3.16.3 on macOS.
The client reports the following message when I try to sync a specific folder:
βThis folder is already being synchronized. Please choose a different folder.β
However, this is not the case β the folder is not listed as currently synchronized, and I have deleted all visible sync connections in the client. I had successfully synchronized this folder (which is part of my OneDrive volume) twice earlier today, but now the client refuses to add it again.
Oddly, I can synchronize other folders from the same OneDrive location without any issue. Only this specific folder is affected. I suspect there is some orphaned configuration or cache file from a previous sync that is preventing the folder from being re-added.
I have already tried:
- Removing and reinstalling the client (version 3.16.3)
- Deleting all relevant
~/Library/Application Support/Nextcloud
and~/Library/Caches/Nextcloud
folders - Searching for any logs or config files that might still reference the folder β but found nothing obvious
Iβm at a loss. Could you please let me know:
- Where exactly does the macOS version of the Nextcloud Desktop Client store its configuration, cache, or sync metadata files?
- Is there any other hidden location where stale sync references might be kept?
- How can I fully reset the client to forget all past sync folder associations?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
