MacOS Client reporting multiple accounts sharing the folder

On my main user profile the client recently started showing this message:
Multiple accounts are sharing the folder /Users/user1/Nextcloud/.
This configuration is known to lead to dataloss and is no longer supported.
Please consider removing this folder from the account and adding it again.

I don’t remember changing anything, also no recent MacOS upgrade.
There is another user on the machine, using its own folder /Users/user2/Nextcloud but that should not be an issue as these users don’t have permissions for each others home directories.

Any ideas how to find out why the Nextcloud client shows me this message?

Known problem in client version 3.15.1.

I’m having the same issue.
Except in my case, it’s a folder that I own that I’m sharing with various users (we all need access to this data). I don’t see how this could be unsupported given that that is the whole point of a “shared repo”.

Seems there are two .sync_.db files in the Nextcloud folder. Someone described solving it by deleting the older one. I did a full backup and hen deleted the older .sync… file. Message disappeared.
