Lots of Errors with installed nextcould on https

I am not expert or guru but i upgraded to https and i have been having the worst issues with my hosting. They “said” there was a kernel crash and now my nextclouds won’t do the following:

Upload files - keep getting a server disconnection error
Won’t recognize other Federated Cloud ID’s
Wont sync with cell phones
Got message today: Cannot write into “config” directory!

This can usually be fixed by giving the webserver write access to the config directory. See https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/12/go.php?to=admin-dir_permissions
we didn’t make any backend changes?!

Our specs

Nextcloud version: 12.0.3
Operating system: linux
Apache: 2.4.29
PHP: 5.6.32

Can you reliably replicate it? (If so, please outline steps): unknown hosting company wont share this information with us. they did create a lot of “test files” on our rented space

The issue you are facing:
apps wont work,
cant upload files of any size
Cannot write into “config” directory!

This can usually be fixed by giving the webserver write access to the config directory. See https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/12/go.php?to=admin-dir_permissions
as of today 11/04/2017: wont send php emails of any sorts.
cant encrypt because we cant get into the apps
gosh I can show you better than I can tell you.

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging: we cant get to these files today. should have accessed them BEFORE hosting company changed things - Again.

The output of your config.php file in /path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!): we cant get to these files today. should have accessed them BEFORE hosting company changed things - Again.

The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in /var/log/____: we cant get to these files today. should have accessed them BEFORE hosting company changed things - Again.

What should we do? The documentation give some hints what could be done but if you can’t do this yourself and your hosting company isn’t willing to help you, it’s probably the best to run Nextcloud elsewhere. In general, it is better to run it on a system where you have more control (at least v-server).
