Logging in into a fresh NCP instance in TUI

Hi,

I want ot install NexCloudPi so I’ve downloaded and flashed NextcloudPi_OrangePi5Plus_v1.55.3.img onto an sdcard, put it in my orange pi 5 plus board and lit it up. Every seems to work great, and I have a log in (TUI).

I’ve searched the web and tried a lot of combination of user/pwd but none worked |Armbian, root, pi, ncp, ncadmin / 1234, pi, Armbian, raspberry, ownyourbits, nextcloud] out of the box. I can neither connect from ssh (port 22 is closed according to nmap), nor from a browser from another computer on the same network.

Did I miss something ? What else can I try ?

First ncp contact should be Activation.
Check your ip address and browse server

Hi @geoW,

Thanks. To be honest, I’ve tried to delete the post 20 minutes after sending it (but is was “pending”), as, I don’t know what happened, but I eventually got the page in the web browser (firefox) I was trying since the beginning, with both ncp user passwords for “80”'(443) and 4443.
Maybe didn’t I wait long enough (it is an sdcard, not responsive) ?

So, by the time, with the browser page, I could update the passwords, log in nominally, set ssh up, connect via ssh, could “nc-passwd” nc-admin user, and, eventually, could log in with nc-admin in TUI !

Well, I’m afraid everything was running normally, except I could not have “80” nor 4443 for the first few dozens minutes.
So I’m reinstalling with a NVME, as the system seems a bit slow (the ubuntu previously installed was quick)

No problem, have fun :grinning:
