Hi,
I started using Collectives and tried to edit the .md-files on my local PC.
When I try to change a file that I recently opened in the browser, I get a file conflict.
The File manager shows “locked by text”.
Adding files works and I can keep editing them till I opened them once in the browser.
How to remove the lock?
Is this expected?
I found this on github.

So should it work if I am at least on Nextcloud 28?

Or 27.1.11.
However, it’s irrelevant since <28 has reached end-of-support (well, unless you have paid enterprise support).
What version are you using? You didn’t post any details about your environment.
