Summary of the issue you are facing:
I recently started running a Nextcloud instance off my raspberry pi, which only has a 64 GB microSD card. I connected a large external ssd I had lying around to it to use it for Nextcloud storage. I enabled External Storage and followed https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/stable/admin_manual/configuration_files/external_storage_configuration_gui.html but in Administration settings > External storage, the Add storage drop-down menu does not have an option for “Local” which it says it would on Local — Nextcloud latest Administration Manual latest documentation . I only see Amazon S3, FTP, Nextcloud, Openstack Object Storage, etc. Does anyone have the local option? Has this option been moved somewhere else? Or did it get phased out because there was another way that was more straightforward and obvious that I missed ?
