Linux sync client loses configuration at reboot

Hi,
this is a nextcloud client problem which happens only on linux clients, so I will spare most of the server-side details for now. If needed, I still can provide them. Thanks in advance for looking into it.

Nextcloud server version: 11.0.2
Nextcloud client version: 2.3.1-1.0~zesty1 (installed via ppa)
Operating system and version: Ubuntu Gnome 17.04

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error?: Yes

Can you reliably replicate it? (If so, please outline steps): Reboot the system

The issue you are facing:
The nextcloud sync client loses its configuration every time I reboot the system, so the login wizard appears again and I have to re-enter my credentials and choose the folders to sync. It happens only on my Ubuntu Linux machine, not on a windows machine that is connected to the same nextcloud installation.

Syslog messages containing “nextcloud” (are there any other logs the client writes to?):

/var/log/syslog:29696:Apr 24 14:10:45 V3-371 /usr/lib/snapd/snapd[757]: daemon.go:176: DEBUG: uid=1000;@ GET /v2/snaps/nextcloud 28.716µs 404
/var/log/syslog:29793:Apr 24 14:15:34 V3-371 nextcloud.desktop[5910]: Sys Info size: 80
/var/log/syslog:29794:Apr 24 14:15:34 V3-371 nextcloud.desktop[5910]: int main(int, char**) Already running, exiting...
/var/log/syslog:29886:Apr 24 14:18:17 V3-371 /usr/lib/snapd/snapd[757]: daemon.go:176: DEBUG: uid=1000;@ GET /v2/snaps/nextcloud 37.192µs 404

I can’t find it again, but I think someone reported a similar thing on a linux client… Not sure if it was this one: https://central.owncloud.org/t/ubuntu-16-10-client-frequently-loses-connection-settings-after-reboot/5805

Try if you have the same problem with the owncloud-client (it’s the same client, only the theming is different). As the main development of the client is in owncloud, you need to reproduce this error first in owncloud, if not it could be related to the theming and then it is an bug for nextcloud-theming.

I have the same issue. Also owncloud client is crashing on a regular basis. Maybe Gnome related ?

Nextcloud server version: 11.0.3
Nextcloud client version: 2.3.1-1.0~zesty1 (installed via ppa)
Operating system and version: Ubuntu Gnome 17.04

You should report this to the developers. Could be related to Gnome.
