Linux Desktop Client does not start minimized (version 3.4.2, Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS x86_64, Gnome 42.1)

Nextcloud client for Linux starts up at boot with main dialog window open. In order to close it I need to click the tray icon, choose Open Main Dialog, and then click the tray icon again.

The startup command has the --background tag:

"/usr/bin/nextcloud" --background

In terminial the command:

nextcloud --background

also opens the main dialog window.

Anything I am missing here? Is it possible to start in tray only on Gnome 42?

Thanks

This happen on debian bookwork with nextcloud-desktop==3.7.3 and xfce==4.18.

I don’t think it has something to do with Gnome or the desktop environment in general (I have it working on another pc with similar setup).

Might be be something is breaking during the startup, though I couldn’t spot anything from the log.
