Link image directly from the same server outside Nextcloud

Hi,
using NC on a shared server within my own domain/web space I want to link an image on/from a (internal) web page of my web space.

Path to an image:
NC/data/USER/files/Photos/example.jpg

URL would be:
https://.../NC/data/USER/files/Photos/example.jpg

But this error appears:
You don't have permission to access this resource.Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

Therefore would it be possible to get or allow this access by modifying
NC\data\.htaccess
?

Just share the image and use the share link to link to.

Then the app mentioned by @szaimen could be a compromise to get what I want :wink:

… to get access to my own files on my own server – just from outside my Owncloud path…
