LDAP Groups are not renamed

Hi everybody,

Nextcloud version: 15.0.5
Operating system and version: Ubuntu 16.04
PHP version: 7.2

The issue you are facing:
We’re syncing some distribution groups from our Active Directory into our Nextcloud. This works perfect for us beside one small problem.

We changed the name of one our distribution groups in AD. Nextcloud still shows the old name for this group.

For Example: I’ve created a Group called “IT” and renamed it to “IT Department”. The AD shows “IT Department” but Nextcloud still shows “IT”.

I already tried the following:

  • rename the distribution group again

  • delete the “IT Department” in AD and create a new distribution group with the same settings and updated the LDAP configuration in Nextcloud. The problem is still the same. Is it possible that there is something like a mapping of the Mail address to the shown Name?

Did some had the same behavior?
