Nextcloud version : 15.0.5
Operating system and version: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
Apache or nginx version : nginx 1.15.9
PHP version : PHP 7.2.15
OpenLDAP 20445

LDAP / AD Integration “Changing -Login Attributes- doesn’t take effect for LDAP User”

We use ldap-integration for our user-accounts. We deactivate email as a login-attribute, but the change does not take affect for allready added users, only for users added after the change. Existing users can still login by email-address.

Is this a bug or feature? :wink:
Is there a possibility to take the change of login-attribute effect to existing users?

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? No
Seen also on other installations with the same Versions of Products

Steps to replicate it:

  1. deactivate LDAP / AD Email Address
  2. add new user to ldap
  3. user can’t acces via email
  4. activate LDAP / AD Email Adress
  5. user can acces via email
  6. deactivate LDAP / AD Email Address
  7. user can acces via email

No output of Nextcloud log, because it seems no issue in the Login section
