Latest Snappy version (24.0.3snap1) but Nextcloud Security Scan says Running Nextcloud 22.2.3.0

Hi
I have a new installation of Nextcloud snappy on a RPi based Ubuntu server
All working great!

I have latest version:

~$ snap list
Name Version Rev Tracking Publisher Notes
core18 20220706 2542 latest/stable canonicalâś“ base
core20 20220805 1614 latest/stable canonicalâś“ base
lxd 5.0.1-9dcf35b 23545 5.0/stable/… canonical✓ -
nextcloud 24.0.3snap1 31228 latest/stable nextcloudâś“ -
snapd 2.56.2 16299 latest/stable canonicalâś“ snapd

But a Nextcloud security scan (https://scan.nextcloud.com) on my server address says:

Rating
A

Running Nextcloud 22.2.3.0

NOT on latest patch level

Major version still supported

Could anyone please tell me why / if this is an issue?

Thanks

Hello,

If you have previously scanned your TLD via that scan page, it shows cached data from previous scan by default.

There is a button called Trigger Re-Scan → Try hitting that button, then wait for 10/15 mins to revisit that scan page to query your domain

02

Check if that is the issue here.

Thanks.

Thanks!
Yup, that was it:

Rating

A+

Running Nextcloud 24.0.3.2

Latest patch level

Major version still supported

Scanned at 2022-09-04 17:13:23

Wouldn’t it be worth putting some little note to that effect for dumbo’s like me who don’t notice the scan date?

Thanks again!

Hello,

I wonder what is the need for keeping it on cache in anyway?

Should not it do a fresh scan every time?

Thanks.
