Large folders not syncing locally to Android device

Support intro

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 3.15.1
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Android 11

The issue you are facing:
Nextcloud Android is failing to locally sync or load large folders (30-40GB each) on Pixel 4. The same folders are accessible within the Nextcloud web interface and also locally on the Linux PC server. They just won’t sync/load to the mobile device.
Files types include .flac, and .m4a. Other smaller folders syncing to cloud and Pixel fine.

The Nextcloud app just gets stuck in a loading ‘loop’ when attempting to view the folder’s contents.

End goal is to utilize Nextcloud to automate music sync from PC to Android for use in Poweramp through these directories.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N):
Yes

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Open Nextcloud Android app
  2. Select either large music folder
  3. Files never appear (only endless loading screen)

Looked into where log files are on Android and Ubuntu and looks like those are manually enabled? Happy to go through that process if there’s any more insight there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
