Laptop has ran out of space

I am using a purchased Nextcloud server provider with the desktop app. The issue is my partners computer has ran out os space, and looking at the files, it’s all the nexcloud being stored locally and on nextcloud.

We both using Mac latest iOS in place.

What options do i have to allow continued use, and access to the Nexcloud files but wihtout the desktop? Is there a way to ‘mount’ it directly to the external provider. I have tried but not getting anywhere.

Any advice appreciated.

Nextcloud has a feature called Virtual Drive, which is experimental for macOS. You can use it, but I don’t know how well it works.
