  1. upadte from Vesrion 12 to 13
  2. No Admin Web acess, windows client strill runnig and working
  3. Any configuration impossible

Do you have a white screen or is only the web login not possible?

It depends of the used Browser: Chrome an Firefox are “to many redirections”
In IE i can see the login (After activating my theme in Config i see my background image also) but:
After login the spinning circle remains spinning until ic close the Browser. (no normal oparating screen)

I guess the updater has disabled some apps. You can try to install the missing apps by using the occ command.

I’m not sure if he can do that. It’s a shared hosting and i think he doesn’t have SSH access.

Now you have learned why nextcloud without shell access is not recommended.

In that case you need support of your hoster.

In that case i have learned , that Nextcloud has a long way to go, to reach the stability of Wordpress or Joomla and so it is no recommended tool in general .

I have transferred my content to Google Drive what can not be the Goal for Nextcloud developers. Schade eigentlich!:thinking:

You should develop a Hoster version that comes selectable through the Hosters interface - and that comes Hoster Managed and stable - that is the dream!:flushed:

I have learned, that Nextcloud is a totally useless tool for backup purposes.

The thing is: I do not wont to need shell access. I also believe: I am not the only one.

I was looking for an easy way to fill my unlimited webspace - no one can make such a huge web site to fill this. So i thought: fill it with backup Data: Films, music and so. And: in case that Nextcloud was running smoothly it was quite comfortable!

I have a huge Joomla site in this webspace and never had to use a shell to repair the installation. Instead i have a very stable backend to manage this. I am also ( and I am a developer for FileMaker databases) not familiar with Unix Shells

Maybe such an interface is a future Project for You?

Shared hosting is not the greatest experience with Nextcloud .It is better to have shell access in a Vserver because you need it for maintenance using the occ tool anyway. Owncloud removed the webinstaller option because of this, maybe this move should be thought about at Nextcloud too.

Alternative: Set up a Nextcloud instance somewhere else with full access to the system and mount the huge webspace as an external storage into it.
