I am using Nextcloud on Debian 12 and experiencing an issue with the “Save As” feature in Excel (.xlsx) files when working in group folders.
Debian 12
Nextcloud Hub 9 (30.0.4)
Nextcloud Desktop Client 3.15.3
PHP 8.2.26
When I try to use the “Save As” option in Excel while working directly within a group folder in Nextcloud, it doesn’t work as expected. However, if I am in my personal area (private folder), the “Save As” functionality works fine.
As a workaround, I have to save the file in my personal area and then manually move it to the group folder. This extra step is inconvenient, and I’m wondering if anyone else has faced this issue or found a solution.
As for the second question: Yes, all folders and files are synchronized normally, and I have full control over my space within the group folder. Everything syncs correctly, except for this issue when trying to save Excel files directly in the group folder.
I’ll attach an image showing the error message I get, as I think that might help clarify the issue.
You should click the correct “Nextcloud” folder on the left and then move to the group-folder, where to save the Excel-sheet.
The error message seems to be caused by the “Ce PC”, which does not allow to store a document there, because it is not a drive. - So no write-permission exists.
Thank you for your answer, but i aready indected path of group folder but the same problem, last photo i show you just show ce pc biut i try save in Nextcloud group folder
look this photo
Is it possible, that your Nextcloud folder also becomes synchronized with Onedrive? (I found the blue cloud icon in your screenshot above)
The issue seems nothing have to do with Nextcloud, because the error message is created by Excel.
I guess, that Excel (365/Online-app?) and Onedrive may cause the problem.
I am not using onedrive or 365/Online-app , I am using Microsoft office Pro plus 2021. but as i say is working in my private area nexcloud and in group folder not.
