Is there a way to change the Maintenance mode theme?

I just updated, and when I was in Maintenance mode, I noticed that the Maintenance mode page did not have the theme I set up in the theming app? Can I change this?

I am guessing any changes I make to the Maintenance mode page will get overwritten eveytime I update?
