Is the release of Nextcloud Desktop stalled?

Why is Nextcloud Desktop 2.5.2 not yet released? It contains an important bug fix for logging in when you have a space in your user name.

More in general: the development on Nextcloud Desktop seems to be stalled. What is the future of Nextcloud Desktop? Will it be deprecated in favour of the virtual drive?

There are some nasty issues with the current latest Nextcloud Desktop release that could easily scare people away from Nextcloud in my experience.

From what I understand from the blog post was that virtual drive will be included in the nextcloud client.

And what baffles me after reading the bug reports is that one was able to register users with a space in the username in the first place. That will introduce a lot of interesting problems in the future.
