Since Google turned off less secure application access to SMTP since 30 of May 2022 I cannot use google SMTP server as mailing server in Nextcloud.
Error message is "Authenticator LOGIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code “535”, with message “535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted”
Is there a way to use Google’s SMTP for now?
You can activate it on Google.

Copy the app password you created at Google and use it as password in Nextcloud.
Worked without a hitch for me.
