Is it possible to install the SyncClient on a Windows Server 2012 R2

Hello everybody,

I am looking for a cloud solution for our company.
We mainly want to make files everywhere available four field service.
So I thought about putting up a cloud server with Nextcloud and connecting the mobile devices to it.

Our management likes the idea but has one restriction. The files the field service works on needs to be synced to our local fileserver too so that people working in the office are always up to date.

We are using a Windows Server 2012 R2 as fileserver. My question is now if it is possible to install the Nextcloud SyncClient on a Windows Server?

Has someone already done this with success?

Thx in advance for your help!

For testing purposes, i’ve done that already. But it isn’t a nice solution, because the user allways has to be logged in. Otherwise your files would’t sync.

Unfortunately, I have no better solution.

Ok I’ll have a try for that. Maybe I’ll just create a “sync” user for that purpose.
Thx for your help!
