If I want to install Nextcloud server to an android device as a personal cloud, are there any way that can do so?
Do I need to install Linux (using Linux Deploy or similar) on top of Android and then install Nextcloud on that Linux? Or just installing PHP+web server to the Android will also works?

I don’t know if it is possible but you can certainly try.
I’d start from termux (from a cursory look, there are packages for apache2, nginx, php, and postgres)
