We’re running teams and it would be great to automatically add (and possibly remove) people from a chat group when added or removed from a group. Typically each group will have a Talk chat group associated with it.
Yes, it seems to work fine for me.
- Create the group chat like normal
- Search for and select a group to chat with
- The group can be a local nextcloud group or ldap or others(?)
That adds people who are in that group, but it’s not automatic when adding new users to the group. At least not as far as I’ve noticed.
It would be great to have a closer permanent connection between a user group and a Talk group chat.
I see what you’re saying now. I can confirm that users who are added to the group later on are not included in the group chat.
What is the version of talk you’re using? I guess talk 12 (coming with nextcloud 22) introduced what you need: Sync group members with conversation participants by nickvergessen · Pull Request #4810 · nextcloud/spreed · GitHub
