I tried the bookmarks along with the floccus plugin and noticed that the nc webinterface provides a nice preview of all links stored.
I’m wondering if this might be a safety issue?
Of course I checked my bookmarks when I saved them, but the collection has
grown over years and there are many links I didn’t visit for a long time and content might have changed.

Good thinking! It shouldn’t be a safety issue as no remote code is executed on the server. The app only scrapes favicons and images from the bookmarked pages, by default. You can enable actual screenshots by providing the credentials to a dedicated screeenly server, the safety of which is a different concern.
At maximum the previews might be a privacy issue, but the remote pages only ever learn the server IP.
