Hello,

Does the server log the IP address downloading a file? For example, I’d like to know which IP address downloaded a file shared with a public link. Where should I look at?

If you didn’t turn it off, it can be found there. Exact name and location depend on distribution and web server, in most cases it is in /var/log. Just download from a link and see how the corresponding entry looks like. Then you can grep through the file.

With apache2 its in /var/log/apache2/access.log when you haven´t defined something other.
