iOS apps (iPad and iPhone) cannot log in to NC

I’ve got problems logging in to NC formboth the iPad and iPhone apps
Using NC 31.0.6 and 31.0.5 both give the normal login screens
log in → grant access → back to log in screen

Does anyone recognise this? Is there anything obvious I can do?

The NC installation logs nothing very specific during the logon item.
(notning other than “Error Call to a member function getUID() on null”)

I’ve checed timezones and other obvious items, and everything seems fine

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes there is a known issue:

Access not granted on IOS app

This is a known and tricky issue were are actively investigating on. At the moment, it does not appear to be an iOS app problem, though. It only surfaces there most of the time. For still unclear reasons it appears like the server has a problem in the specific situation of iOS clients attempting to log in. The web view in the iOS app login is simple and only follows the instruction of the server. There are other forum threads about this already and we also have a GitHub issue which tracks this …

Workaround: Create an app password (more on the linked answer).

@tflidd that did it in case of my iphone indeed. Trying on my iPad later on.

Which exact app version are you using? Version 6.4.4 has resolved some login issues.

Version 6.6.4 at the moment. The app pass worked, normal login does not.
