Internal server error message for bad password

[details=“Support intro”]

Nextcloud version: 13.0.0
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 17.04): RHEL 7.4
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): 2.4.27
PHP version (eg, 7.1): 7.1.8

Everything is working fine using ldap user authentication.

The only issue here is that when a user types in an incorrect password, I get the expected
LDAP error Invalid credentials in the log, but the user sees a screen ominously titled
"Internal Server Error" and

“The server was unable to complete your request.
If this happens again, please send the technical details below to the server administrator.
More details can be found in the server log.”

Is this an intentional message?

I am having the same issue with nextcloud 13, ubuntu 16.04 and PHP 7.0.28

Everything works as expected unless you enter the wrong password for an LDAP user.

Entering a random user/password or using the wrong password for the local admin returns ‘Wrong password’ as you’d expect,
