Internal and external access to my nextcloud instance

Hi,

I have a next-cloud instance called nextcloud-instance001.local which I am able to access while at the office, when I am at home and type the IP address of my router, which displays the homepage for nextcloud, but when I click trust next cloud - it tries to connect to nextcloud-instance001.local rather than the IP address and then times out.

Am I doing something wrong?

No, but since you can’t access the URL you need to use for verification you’ll need to update the config file yourself.

Add a new item to the trusted domains array in your config.php file copying the existing URL you have in place there.
