Installing Passwords

Hello,

I’m fairly new to Nextcloud. I was looking for a simple passwords app for Nextcloud and found this app from a YouTube Video. I wasn’t able to find the app via the official App Store in my Nextcloud though.

Do I have to install the app manually? If so, how can I do it?
Is the app still supported and safe to use?
My PHP-Version is 7.4.15.

I’d be happy about any kind of help.
Thank you!

Best regards,

Levi

Thank you for your fast reply.

Yes, I can see some other apps. Maybe I’m not able to see third-party apps for some reason?

If I can’t find a solution to install it through the App Store, I might try the manual install.

Passwords is at the left side in Security / Sicherheit

Sadly, it’s not listed there and I can’t find it through the Search Bar either.

Perhaps a problem with connecting the Nextcloud App Server.
Read this.

that sounds like a problem and @devnull already hinted to a possible solution

Usually it comes via the appstore. I’d suggest get that problem solved first.

the app is really well maintained by @mdw - I can’t thank him enough for all the outstanding work he does with his project.

apart from that: Usually we’d need a bunch more of detailled informations to have a slight chance to be of help… your thread is missing that in most parts.
should run with it.

Thank you for the replies.

Our managed hosting service apparently uses specific Standard-Apps only, so we can only install Apps verified by them.
I’m really sorry, I didn’t consider this at first

We have submitted a ticket to add Passwords to their list of supported Apps and hopefully we’ll be able to use it very soon.

Thank you!
