Installation redirecting to LAN ip


I’m having a very specific issue. I finished a new installation of nextcloud 15 (been using 13 so far), and when used from my LAN network I manage to register correctly using my local dns resolver, and also via ip.

Thing is when I try to login the desktop app via WAN, I got a timeout error pointing to my internal IP address.

Apparently when it’s resolving its redirects internally, it points to the LAN address instead of the hostname. I searched on various config files I could find but nothing.

I used the Hansson IT prebuilt appliance before and it didn’t have any issue. When I installed this version the unique problem i’m facing is this one. I cant find anywhere solution to this, any help will be appreciated.

If you did the installation yourself, just let the VM get an IP from DHCP and then lock it in your firewall/router. That’s the easiest way of doing it in my opinion.
