# Installation of apps via appstore not possible

### Summary of the issue you are facing:

Installation of Apps directly from the Appstore is not possible.

Installation with occ-command via putty is working.

Installation with OCCWEB is working.

Update of installed apps is working.

### Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

1. Open the appstore

2. Search the app to be installed

3. Go to «Herunterladen und aktivieren»

4. Enter admin-name and password

5. After that nothing happens

### Log entries

#### Nextcloud

Please provide the log entries from your Nextcloud log that are generated during the time of problem (via the _Copy raw_ option from _Administration settings-\>Logging_ screen or from your `nextcloud.log` located in your data directory). Feel free to use a pastebin/gist service if necessary.

Can you check your Apache error log for entries that get generated while you’re trying to install an app? I see you may be on ARM64 so there is a PHP JIT possibility we should rule out before looking within Nextcloud itself.

I’ve found the reason:

In the file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf I had to change the Value in the section In \< Directory /var/www/\> from AllowOverride from None to All.

Now the installation of Apps via AppStore is working. 😁
