Install Nextcloud locally in VMWare

Hi I want to install Nextcloud for testing purpose only in a local enviroment. Specifically, I installed the Docker AIO image in a virtual machine which is behind another Pfsense vm, all of them are on a single Windows host.

I’m following the documentation here : Github

and I don’t understand at the very first step which is

1. Set up your domain correctly to point to your home network

I bought a domain and which IP should I point to? If that’s my ISP public IP then isn’t it public to the Internet and not local anymore?

The domain should point to the external IP address of your router. In the router itself you will need to forward ports 80 and 443 to your Nextcloud VM.

Before you start, plase verify, that your router can be accessed from outside, because the internet providers use more and more private networks, which cannot be reached from internet.
