I tried to create a new shared folder.
A specific user group have to access this shared folder with read-only permission.
In this folder there are different subfolders (SubFolder1, SubFolder2 and SubFolder3) and file.
I want the same user group to have read and write access to SubFolder3.
Is it possible to apply the configuration without sharing the folder again?
How can I crack this issue?
No that is not possible. Read here. It is a security feature of Nextcloud designed to ensure consistent and secure access control. You have shared the folder read-only. And all content belongs to it.
Some other solutions:
a.)
start at the top folder with all rights
minimize the rights to subfolders
b.)
share subfolder again with all disadvantages (e.g. double share)
c.)
use foldername e.g “folder / subfolder 1”, …", “folder / folder3” instead of folder tree and use individual sharing options for each of the e.g. three Team folder. This looks a bit like a directory structure, as long as you limit it to perhaps two levels.
“In this folder there are different […] and file”, do store the files in a separate folder/subfolder in the new structure, mostly files belogs to a subfolder
