I asked this question earlier as well and got some really nice response from amazing people. But those are too difficult for me as I don’t want to take any risk.
Luckily, I just found a simple solution that I think might work. For reference, I have an 8 TB server that’s divided into three disks.
I heard that by using External Storage Addon I can use the disk at /home which has majority of space i.e. 5 TB. After researching I just installed smbclient(apt-get install smbclient) and I’m about to add the storage.
However, I want to know is it really it? Do I need to do anything extra? Like configuring some file or something else?
