How to use external collabora server with AIO?

I went through the deployment process and de-select Collabora container box.

After deployment, the settings to for server address is always greyed out.

I assume by “external” you mean an installation elsewhere?

AIO works best with the Collabora instance it deploys/manages (which is, for what it’s worth, a real a dedicated Collabora container; it’s not the sidecar Collabora app).

Anyhow, I believe it’s possible in theory because in a manual AIO install one can specify COLLABORA_HOST along with COLLABORA_ENABLED when starting the stack. The former is what overrides the pointer to AIO’s Collabora container (which AIO normally does on its own).

You may find some clues in the Manual Install guide in the AIO repository. Not saying it requires a manual install, but I haven’t tried doing that with a conventional AIO install.

Yes, you got it right!

I had deployed Collabora manually while using non AIO. All managed by TrueNAS. Is their official apps.

I’m totally OK by using Collabora through automated installation. The thing I wanted to use Rubik font. I used for a project report while using non AIO. Some format are missing such as “Rubik Black” I uploaded it through Nextcloud’s settings and doesn’t work.

Related to this post as well.

Might be helpful if I use pgAdmin to manually modify the entries

I did ignored the template. I admit it. Cause I judge that all those info are not necessary.

Fresh deployment of Nextcloud AIO automated installation. That means all are up to date and using current latest release.

We have a lot of things in common. I’m using only FOSS to self host services and personal softs as well. I want to regain total control of my data and being ethical. I avoid GAFAM.

The thing is when de-selecting Collabora on AIO interface and install the app manually through Nextclooud’s app store, cannot touch the settings.

After every Nextcloud restart, I have to re-install the app manually
